Four Hills for Lindsay

56km long run

Latest News

As the Durbanville marathon has been brought forward by one week we have had to reschedule the 4 Hills for Lindsay 56km long run from Sunday 11 May to Saturday 10 May 2008 so as not to clash with this popular marathon.

Other changes include an increase in entry fee:  From R30 to R40 per person.  I am sure you will all agree that this is still way below the cost of entry fees  for events of the same distance!

Runners can be assured that they will be treated to the same standard of refreshment tables as per previous years.  Needless to say, our popular homemade soup will be there for all at the finish.

At present I am still negotiating a deal for T-shirts and will let you all know as soon as I have more information.

I am also currently working on an entry procedure for this year’s run.  Details will follow shortly!

Our Team has Grown!!!

Much has happened in the off-season!  Our team is stronger by 2 members.  A special welcome to Jared van Eck (born 1 May 2007 to Bridget and Paul van Eck).  Bridget is responsible for the delicious home-made soup we are all treated to at the end of the run.

Welcome also to Joshua Cronje (born 10 July 2007 to Kathy and Crunchie Cronje).  Kathy is the “Boss” of this run.  She is responsible for all that happens on this run.  It will be great to have the full team back for the 2008 run!

Other News …

“Jack the Gnome” is currently convalescing on the Island of St Helena after some major head trauma.  We are hoping to spring him before the run this year.  Will have to speak kindly to the crew of the RMS St Helena!
